Why We Travel
Travel further
travel deeper.
We travel because staying in one place gets boring. Because there is always another city to wander, something we haven’t tasted, a hotel we want to check into, a street we haven’t walked and a place we didn’t know we needed to see until we got there.
But mostly, we travel because being somewhere else changes things. It makes us curious. It gets us out of our routines and into other people’s. It introduces us to new food, new ideas, new ways of doing things and, occasionally, a version of ourselves we like a little better. The best trips stay with us long after the suitcase is back in the closet.
Wandrist Travel was built by people who love to travel for people who love to travel. We design deeply personal trips around how you actually want to spend your time, not how someone decided you’re supposed to see a destination. We know when the iconic thing is absolutely worth doing and when there’s something much more interesting around the corner.
We travel constantly, scout obsessively, and rely on relationships we’ve built around the world to get the details right. We handle the logistics, solve the problems, and pay attention to the things you shouldn’t have to think about once you’re there.
Because you should be busy being somewhere else.
Why Travel With Us
We don’t travel agent.
We travel design.
Think of us as the friend you always want to ask before you book a trip. The one who reads everything, researches obsessively, travels constantly, and keeps notes on all of it. Where to find the freshest fish in Mallorca. Which Paris hotel has the Eiffel Tower view worth splurging on. The restaurant you should absolutely cross town for, the room that looks better online than it does in person, and the places you probably wouldn’t find on your own.
The difference is, we don’t keep any of it to ourselves.
We spend our days traveling, researching, scouting, and building relationships around the world, then put everything we know to work for our clients. Sometimes that means a perfectly planned long weekend. Sometimes it’s three weeks, six hotels, and several trains, planes, and boats. But whatever the journey entails, we obsess over the details, skip the obvious when there’s something better, and design trips around how you actually like to travel.
Because the best trips shouldn’t feel like they could belong to anyone else.
01
Travel, but make it stress-free.
Let’s face it: travel is great. Planning it can be stressful AF.
Where should we go? Which hotel is actually worth it? How many nights do we need? Is that restaurant impossible to book or just impossible to book online? Do we need a guide? A driver? A train? And why are there suddenly 37 tabs open on your laptop?
We revel in the details that can make you want to couch surf instead of kite surf. Because planning a vacation should not leave you needing one.
We handle the research, reservations, logistics and approximately 847 tiny decisions that go into a great trip, then put it all together in a way that makes sense for you. And once you leave, we’re still here, making sure everything runs the way it should and stepping in when it doesn’t.
You take the trip. We take care of the rest.
02
Every trip deserves to be extraordinary.
With decades of experience in editorial, travel, and lifestyle hospitality, we pay attention to the things that can completely change a trip. The right hotel. The right room. The right neighborhood. Knowing what’s worth your time and what you can happily skip.
And we don’t think a trip has to be two weeks long or halfway around the world to matter. If you’re packing a bag and leaving home, whether it’s for one night or three weeks, we want it to be good. Really good.
That means thinking through the details before you go, making sure you’re taken care of while you’re there, and being the person you can call when something doesn’t go according to plan.
Because one night in a hotel is still one night of your life. It might as well be amazing.
03
You’re a vip. let’s make sure the world knows it.
Booking a hotel through us isn’t the same as booking it through an online booking site. Through our network of thousands of preferred hotel partners around the world, our clients often have access to the good stuff: hotel credits, complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, early check-in, late checkout and other extras, depending on the hotel and availability.
But the free stuff is only part of it.
When we book your stay, you’re not just another reservation that showed up in the system. We flag your arrival, share your preferences and make sure the hotel knows who you are before you walk through the door. And because we work with many of these hotels again and again, there’s a relationship behind your reservation and someone to advocate for you when you need it.
Same hotel. Same rate. Very different way to arrive.
04
sometimes, you might need to phone a friend.
We’d love to tell you that every trip goes exactly according to plan. It doesn’t.
Rooms aren’t always what they looked like online. Cars occasionally fail to appear. Restaurants lose reservations. Flights get canceled. Things happen.
But when you book with us, you have someone in your corner. Someone who knows your trip, knows who to call and can advocate for you when something isn’t right. Instead of standing in a hotel lobby trying to sort it out yourself, you have a real person who can step in and help make it right.
Because sometimes the most valuable part of working with a travel advisor isn’t what happens when everything goes right. It’s having someone there when it doesn’t.
